Personalized and adaptive learning can be an effective way to improve student performance in high-enrollment online and blended courses. It can increase learner guidance and support beyond what instructors can provide with the information and time available to them. In this session, you’ll learn how to engage administrators and faculty in building an effective online program that serves students, satisfies instructors, and scales beyond an individual course or department in cost-conscious ways. Topics include the scope and significance of personalized learning, the leadership and resources required to get started, the best strategies for engaging faculty, and the key metrics to monitor in evaluating progress. This presentation will share real-world examples from the recent experiences from public research universities that are creating institution-wide adaptive learning programs.
