Dawn Drake, University of Wisconsin-Platteville
Most people will admit that learner support is crucial to assist with the success of students in online programs. Literature reviews show that there are a wide variety of support services that universities provide for online learners. Quality standards from various online entities
identify learner support as a major component of quality online programs. But, what does all this mean and what does the future hold? The presenter will review the major categories of learner support services that current students expect to have available when they are involved
in online education and then focus on changes in these areas and new services students may be expecting in the future. Participate in a discussion associated with ‘developing’ the next generation of learner support services.
