The DT&L Conference will be held at the Monona Terrace Convention Center (One John Nolen Drive) in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Monona. Just blocks from the Monona Terrace, in downtown Madison, is State Street which links the UW-Madison campus with the Capitol Square and is lined with restaurants, cafes, and shops.
Madison is the capital and second largest city in Wisconsin located 77 miles west of Milwaukee and 122 miles northwest of Chicago. Located on an isthmus, it is sometimes described as the city of four lakes. Madison is also the home of the Wisconsin Badgers.

Dane County Regional Airport (airport code MSN) is located minutes from downtown Madison and offers more than 95 daily arrivals and departures. The airport offers direct non-stop service from Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York, Newark, Orlando and Washington, DC.
Madison is less than a 1-½ hour drive from Milwaukee and 3 hours from Chicago. To reduce airfare costs visitors sometimes fly to one of these larger cities then drive or take a bus to Madison.
There is plenty to do in the Madison area in the summer. Consistently ranked one of the best-places to live, it’s a beautiful destination for biking and walking because the downtown/campus area is surrounded by two lakes. Whether it’s shopping on State Street, touring the Capitol building, or savoring a meal at one of the many international restaurants, Madison is always fun. Bicycles can be rented at one of many on-street bike racks or at several bike shops near campus.
